Brickell, Miami, United States · Branded Supertall — Presales Underway

888 Brickell

Internal preview — photography pending licensing clearance from the developer

“888 Brickell is not subtle about what it's selling: the tallest address in Miami, dressed head to toe by a fashion house that has never done this before.”

888 Brickell is Dolce & Gabbana's first residential building anywhere in the world, developed by Michael Stern's JDS Development Group — the firm behind New York's 111 West 57th Street. Studio Sofield is the design architect, with ODP Architecture & Design as architect of record, for a 90-story, 1,049-foot supertall that FAA approval confirms will be Miami's tallest building on completion. Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are credited directly on the residential curation of all 259 fully furnished homes, down to the plates and bathrobes, across four named interior palettes; Ken Fulk designed the building's club and food-and-beverage spaces. JDS has reported roughly $350M in presales for residences starting at $3.5M and running past $35M for penthouses, though a May 2026 lawsuit from ONE Sotheby's International Realty alleges JDS owes over $500K in unpaid commissions. A confirmed public completion date hasn't settled: a 2023 announcement targeted 2027, but the current official site implies 2028.

The Setup
A pure residential condominium with an attached club and food-and-beverage program — not a hotel — though every residence includes a flexible "lockout" feature letting an owner wall off part of their unit as a separate, independently usable suite.

JDS Development Group, founded and led by Michael Stern, built its name on New York's most architecturally ambitious supertalls, including 111 West 57th Street. 888 Brickell is both JDS's first Miami supertall and Dolce & Gabbana's first residential project anywhere in the world.

The Vibe

888 Brickell is Dolce & Gabbana's first residential building anywhere in the world — not a licensing deal, but a direct curation by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana down to, in the brand's own words, "books on the shelves, cups and silverware, to bathrobes" inside bold marble bathrooms. Residents choose from four named interior palettes — Verde Splendore, Oro Imperiale, Sahara Noir, and Bianco Elegante — while Ken Fulk designed the building's club, food, and beverage spaces, pairing Milanese fashion-house maximalism with hospitality-grade service.

The Honest Take

In favor

  • The first residential project Dolce & Gabbana has ever put its name on anywhere in the world — curated directly by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, not a licensing afterthought, with Ken Fulk handling the club and F&B spaces.
  • A disclosed, credible architecture team (Studio Sofield as design architect, ODP Architecture & Design as architect of record) under JDS Development Group, led by Michael Stern — the developer behind New York's 111 West 57th Street.
  • At 90 stories and 1,049 feet, FAA-approved for supertall status, it will be the tallest residential building in Miami on completion — a verifiable superlative, not just marketing copy.
  • Every residence is fully furnished and turnkey, with a flexible 'lockout' feature letting an owner wall off part of their unit as a separate, independently usable suite — a genuinely useful detail for investor buyers.

Worth weighing

  • The Floor Plans page shows a real diagram image for every residence letter (A–F) across their level ranges, but attaches no bedroom/bathroom count or square footage to any of them — sizing and pricing both require contacting the sales team directly.
  • A confirmed public completion date hasn't settled: a 2023 announcement targeted 2027, while the current official site implies 2028 — treat both as provisional.
  • A May 2026 lawsuit from ONE Sotheby's International Realty alleges JDS owes over $500K in unpaid commissions — worth knowing as part of the building's sales history.
  • Priced for a narrow buyer pool (starting at $3.5M, penthouses above $35M) — not a building to casually compare against the rest of Brickell's inventory.
