Aventura
A planned city built around a golf course and a mall.
“Aventura was zoned for this from the start — the mall came first, the residences are still catching up to it.”
Incorporated in 1995 around the Turnberry Isle golf resort and the fifth-largest mall in America, Aventura is Miami-Dade's most deliberately planned luxury suburb — low-rise by South Florida standards, dense with canals and country club fairways rather than street grid. New condo inventory here is scarce and boutique: branded, low-unit-count towers wrapped around water and golf views rather than the supertall stacks going up in Brickell or Sunny Isles.
